Accreditation & Affiliation
The Presbyterian College of Health – Begoro, has been accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission. GTEC also stipulates that proposed universities be established as university colleges and be affiliated to already established and accredited university. For this reason the Presbyterian College of Health – Begoro, is affiliated to the University of Ghana (UG), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The implication of this is that the University of Ghana, the University of Cape Coast and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology shall oversee the growth and academic activities of this College and the respective programmes affiliated to them and jointly award the degrees of the College until this College is given the Presidential Charter to award its own degrees. The Charter then gives the College the autonomy to operate as a full-fledged university.
