MLAB 106 – INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES
Description
In this course we will engage rigorously with some of the central ideas directed at how to build the ideal society. In the attempt to unravel what is clearly a complex matter we will focus on some of the compelling debates and ideas from classical antiquity to our times.
Objectives
By the end of the course students will have:
- an in-depth knowledge of the seminal theoretical debates on the socioeconomic and political organization of society;
- a deep appreciation for Africa’s historical and contemporary contributions and responses to these theoretical debates; and an improved ability to articulate and support critical arguments in writing.

There are many major concepts covered in medical lab technician programs, including:
- Basic laboratory procedures
- Chemistry
- Bacteriology
- Microbiolo
- Hematology
- Medical technology
Mode of Delivery
Course will be delivered via lectures, discussions and laboratory practices.
